Faith began her dance journey at the Highfield School of Dancing completing an advanced level within Ballet, Tap and Modern. Training within the North West, Faith has since worked with local and international artists/companies such as Bodiography, Walk the Plank, Josh Hawkins, Kiera Martin, Joe Lau, Coalesce, Shona Roberts, Company Chameleon and Ludus.

First creative process with an established choreographer and creator, learning the first steps of how performances are created and developed as well as the challenges we face as performers.

Feedback from Lau, “vocalise and project your voice so that the whole audience know what you are saying as you slowly build the noise within a group”.

Being the first time creating and using text and voice projection within a performance, opened skill development opportunities and new ideas of what a dance can be/include.

Ensemble opportunity within my training to perform with a professional dance company who are touring specific works. This was an insight into touring life before I was aware of my interests within that specific performing industry. An intense 3 days to learn and perform along side the company challenged my fast pick up skills as well as being exposed to an intense fast paced learning environment to expect in a touring company.

"Faith has shown a maturity and readiness to audition, perform and tour at a professional level and has an exceptional technical understanding of her body" (Josh Hawkins/Keira Martin 2020)

Challenging my creativity and research practice, with movement in the studio and theoretical understanding of the performance, pushed my performing capabilities through using solo text, social distancing and how to embed text within a performance.
